Best iPhone Apps

My phone is jailbroken. To some, this is a warning sign. To others, it means a whole new realm of possibilities. Because I have rebuilt my phone about four times in the past three months, I figure it's about time to make a list of my favorite apps for the next time I rebuild it.

This is by far the most useful app I have come across. Moving all the toggles in settings such as bluetooth, wifi, airplane mode, etc. into a drop-down menu is just awesome.

Most won't see functionality with this, but restoring files, saving videos and pictures, etc. is much easier with an SFTP client than iTunes.

Making the iPhone look pretty is, to a lesser degree, important. By default, Winterboard allows you to have photos as wallpaper, remove icon labels, and extend the beauty of your iPhone desktop and sounds with misc add-ins and features.

This one is for 3G and 2G's only, but nonetheless it is an awesome app to record video on your iPhone. Use with FileZilla to pull your videos to a computer.

Opera Mini
This little app will browse the internet a hell of a lot faster than Safari, and take up less memory to boot. The downside is two-level zooming only, but most pages are rendered correctly so this isn't much of an issue.

WiFiFoFumIf you're in an area with little WiFi coverage and want to get the most out of it, use this app. I was an in area recently that had WiFi connections not picked up in the iPhone's settings, but WiFiFoFum picked them up and allowed connection without any issue.

iSSHI use this one for SSH and VNC (over SSH tunnel) connections to my house. If you do SSH and VNC, this is a must-have.
If you follow sports, grab this app. Most major games have a blog roll in addition to the up-to-the-minute scores. Video has been introduced, but only in the capacity of previews of games and such.

This one is great to connect to Skype users and chat or call. Video also works, but only to display the other user's video on your phone.

That's my quick list for the most part. Most of these apps are out of Cydia, but the last few are from the App Store.
